Big Save is proud to support Trek4Mandela, an initiative of the Imbumba Foundation, as we work together toward an ambitious goal: to feed one million people on World Hunger Day in October 2026. Every contribution helps bring us closer to that dream—thank you for being part of the journey.

This Heritage Day, let’s honour the spirit of our nation the best way we know how — around the fire.
Be one of 2,500 people standing shoulder to shoulder as we make history. Let’s bring braai back to South Africa.
This event is in support of a greater mission. Next year, on World Hunger Day, Big Save and the Imbumba Foundation will attempt to feed 1 million people — and your ticket is a step towards that goal.
All proceeds go directly to the Imbumba Foundation, a South African non-profit committed to uplifting young people through education, empowerment, and health. Their Caring4Girls programme provides menstrual health support to schoolgirls across the country, helping them stay in class with dignity and confidence. Through Trek4Mandela, climbers summit Mount Kilimanjaro in honour of Nelson Mandela, raising vital awareness and funds for underprivileged youth.
Braai Experience
From 10:00 to 12:00, fire up your grill and be part of the biggest public braai the world has ever seen. Each braai participant will receive:
- A portion of wors to braai
- Fresh rolls to enjoy with your wors
- A branded apron to take home
- Use of a pair of tongs
This is your chance to share a fire and a meal with thousands of fellow South Africans on a day made for it.
Festival Experience
From 12:00 to 20:00, the vibe shifts into festival mode with:
- Live performances from Mi Casa, and many more talented
- A festive beer garden (18+ only)
- A variety of food trucks and drink vendors
- Family-friendly entertainment and chill zones throughout the venue
Whether you're dancing, eating, or relaxing, you’ll find your space to celebrate.

The Braai Pass
- Access: Braai area only (10:00 – 12:00)
- Includes wors, rolls, apron, and use of tongs
- No access to the festival
The Full Day Pass
- Access: Braai (10:00 – 12:00) + Festival (12:00 – 20:00)
- Full experience with all inclusions
Important Info
- Braai participation is limited to 2,500 people. No additional braai tickets will be released once sold out.
- Only children aged 12 and up may participate in the braai.
- No under 18s allowed in the beer garden. IDs may be checked at entry.
- Total event capacity is 4,000 people. Access will be controlled at all gates.
- No outside food, drinks, alcohol, or braai gear allowed.
- Tongs must be returned at the end of the braai.
- Right of Admission Reserved. Security will be present throughout the day.
- No weapons, illegal substances, or hazardous materials allowed.
- No pass-outs or re-entry without an official wristband.
- Please be aware that by entering and participating in this event, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to potentially infectious diseases, accidents, injury, or loss. You agree to release and hold harmless the event organisers, venue, and their affiliates from any and all claims arising from your attendance. Event organisers accept no responsibility for loss, damage, injury, or theft. Entry is at your own risk.

No illegal substances or drugs
No food or drinks from outside (food, drinks, and alcohol will be sold inside)
No outside setup gear — this includes umbrellas, gazebos, cooler boxes, camping chairs, and furniture. (Everything you need will be available at the event.)
No personal braai equipment (braais will be provided on-site)
No animals or pets (service animals permitted)
By entering the event premises, you consent to being photographed, filmed, and/or recorded. These images and recordings may be used by the organisers for promotional and advertising purposes across digital, print, and broadcast platforms without compensation.
