Tribute To The Source: Thobile Makhoyane

TRIBUTE TO THE SOURCE is a performance project that pays tribute to Makhoyane and the elders who were custodians of the instrument. The title, which is inspired by Smiles Makama's album, The Source, is an awareness of the Smilophone, an instrument he invented.

The performance is presented by 4 women (Thobile Makhoyane, Nono, Zandi, and Sibo), and it is more of a theatrical showcase of Makhoyane, involving music and physical movement.
