Information

Age Requirement

The REN Walk (Remember Every Name) is a family-friendly, child-led movement standing against child trafficking and exploitation.

This is more than a walk — it’s a stand.

Children, families, and communities coming together to raise awareness and stand for those who cannot.

We begin at Concha Café, Ballito, walking approximately 3km along the promenade. At the end, we gather on the beach for a REN moment before walking back. The event continues at Mozambik Ballito with a family-friendly atmosphere and short talks about REN and our mission.

A large percentage of proceeds supports Lantern Rescue, a global organisation rescuing children from trafficking and exploitation.

Children under 12 walk free (with an adult).

This is about children standing up for children.

Parking

There is ample parking available in and around the Concha Café area on the Ballito Beach Promenade.

Parking can be found:

• Along Compensation Beach Road

• In nearby shopping areas (including SPAR)

• In designated public parking bays along the beachfront

Please allow a few extra minutes to find parking, especially closer to the start time, as this is a popular beach area.

We encourage participants to arrive early and, where possible, carpool with friends and family.

Prohibited Items

To ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants, especially children, the following items are not permitted at the REN Walk:

• Alcohol

• Drugs or any illegal substances

• Weapons of any kind

• Glass bottles or containers

• Loudspeakers or disruptive noise devices

• Any items that may be harmful or unsafe for children

This is a child-led, family-friendly event, and we ask all participants to respect the nature of the walk and help us create a safe, supportive space for everyone.

Participants are more than welcome to enjoy food, drinks, and beverages before or after the walk, and we encourage everyone to support local businesses in the area.

We especially invite you to support Concha Café, where the walk will begin and end — making it a great place to gather, connect, and enjoy the morning together.

Let’s make it a meaningful day for the community while also supporting the local businesses that are part of it 🤍

Refund Policy

All ticket purchases are non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend, your ticket may be transferred to another participant. Please contact us if you need assistance.

In the unlikely event that the REN Walk is postponed or cancelled, further communication will be provided.

• Avoid close-up or identifiable images of children without appropriate context

• Focus on group shots, atmosphere, and community moments

• Ensure all content shared aligns with the safety and dignity of children
