A series of weekly ticketed/contribution online live performances from a diverse array of musicians and DJs.
Performing LIVE from the comfort of a homely space.
Aloe From Home was conceived when COVID-19 decided to tour SA in March 2020...
In light of these evolving times we have created a space for the scene-shaping, genre-bending, independent musician to perform live on digital broadcast platforms.
Uncool Luke
Having mixed his way up to one of Cape Town’s most captivating DJs, Uncool Luke is somewhat of an institution on the local club scene. With Uncool Luke’s genre bending style of mixing, he is able to take the dance floor from the scene of a 90s music video to a trap house to a warehouse rave effortlessly.
We see the evidence of this vast frame of reference in his selections, versatility and ability to read a crowd. The way he experiments with old and modern melodies, use of beats, local sounds and general mixing ability leaves little doubt that Uncool was made to grace the decks. His sound can be described as aggressive and playful. A combination of drums and smooth flows that he layers with sensual lyrics and wavey sounds until the crowd buckles under his musical genius.
